The church in Cotheridge is part of the Lower Teme Valley parish, which includes Broadwas and Knightwick. It has services on the first three Sundays of the month, which use the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer.

The vicar is David Sherwin who is based in Martley.

A brief history of St Leonard, Cotheridge

Cotheridge, like Broadwas, was an early possession of the Church (Monastery of Worcester) by a grant of King Offa in AD 757. One of the early Charters is to a lease from Bishop Oswald to Aelfric in AD 963. This charter also has a boundary perambulation which describes the boundaries, more or less as they exist today. Read more…

Pub carols with the Sherwinator

We’ve had a couple of outstanding carol events at two local pubs, the Crown in Martley and the Admiral Rodney at Berrow Green. We have one more at the Mason’s Arms on Monday. These are huge fun – and part of taking church out of the building.
